ROAD CAR DEVELOPMENT
TOYOTA GAZOO RACING EUROPE (TGR-E) IS AN ACTIVE PART OF TOYOTA’S WORLDWIDE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES, CONTRIBUTING EXPERTISE AND TECHNOLOGY TO MAKE EVER-BETTER ROAD CARS.
Since 2010, TGR-E has become increasingly involved in road car R&D topics and the Cologne facility is now officially designated TOYOTA Technical Center TGR-E, joining other facilities around the world as a component in TOYOTA’s development and refinement of cars.
Much of TGR-E’s road car R&D activities is confidential and cannot be disclosed, although recently it was officially confirmed that the new GR Super Sport hypercar is being developed in Cologne.
This is only one of several projects, large and small, which utilise TGR-E’s expertise and equipment in order to improve individual components or the complete car for the benefit of TOYOTA’s customers.
