061 VLN Training TMG 10.12

TOYOTA Motorsport GmbH (TMG) is pleased to announce the creation of an employee team to compete in the VLN series using a TMG GT86 CS-V3 race car in the Nürburgring Nordschleife-based series.

The team, made up of 16 volunteers from various areas of TMG, will make its debut in the V3 class at the second race of the VLN season, on 13 April.

Ahead of that event, the team has launched a search for qualified drivers to join the challenge and drive in these exciting endurace races. Applicants must be 28 years old or less, possess a National A license and have a racing record on the Nordschleife. Click here for the application form.

In common with the TMG team, the successful drivers will not receive a fee for their drive, but they do benefit from a fantastic opportunity to gain Nordschleife experience in a competitive car, which won its class in the 2012 Nürburgring 24 Hours.

Erik Wilhelmi, project leader for the employee team and Senior Design Engineer Composite in his day job at TMG: "Naturally we have people with VLN and rally experience on board, so we know what has to be done. This project gives us additoional possibilities to experience different working areas. Engineers and mechanics are working in areas which they don't normally experience in their daily work. The TG GT86 CS-V3 is perfectly adapted for the Nürburgring Nordschleife, as was proved last year when it won the V3 class in the 24 hours."

Applicants should fill in the form here and email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the subject line "Driver Search".
