The TS030 HYBRID, designed, built and operated by TOYOTA Motorsport GmbH (TMG), won the Six Hours of Sao Paulo, the fifth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The cutting-edge aerodynamics of the TS030 HYBRID were developed by TMG engineers in the two advanced wind tunnels at the Cologne facility while the vast majority of carbon fibre parts were produced in-house.

Technicians assemble and maintain the car at TMG, which acts as the TOYOTA Racing home base, with all engineering and support tasks centralised in Cologne.

Drivers Alex Wurz and Nicolas Lapierre started the Six Hours of Sao Paulo from pole position in the TS030 HYBRID as the #7 maintained its record of having led every race in which it has competed. Read more about this achievement, and access photos, by clicking here.

The result marks TOYOTA’s first victory in an FIA world championship race since the 1999 Rally of China. It is 20 years since victory for the TS010 at Monza in 1992, TOYOTA’s last success in international endurance racing.
